Been a month and nothing new has happened here
We got through Christmas. It was nice getting up on the morning and having both my boys under one roof.
New years was nothing new. We were all in bed before midnight lol Mike had to work the next day
I am sooooo sick of snow
Not only everything being wet outside but also the fact its so damn cold I just cant get out and about willy nilly.
Im suffering major cabin fever.
I guess we got so used to being out and about every day walking, playing, at the park, feeling sun during the summer that now its all gotten old.
Cant wait to feel so heat agian
Ant's doing really well. Been practicing the flash cards he got for xmas. Hes getting pretty good. Can say all his colors and some shapes. Its funny cause theres 2 cards that are supposed to "top and "bottom" and they show a duck on top and bottom of a ladder and I try to get him to say the top and bottom and he refuses to say anything but "quack quack" lol Its just cool to see him finally be able to recognize something and tell me it without me saying anything.
He's doing really well with repeating things for me and daddy but gets shy when its with other people. we really need to just get out more. Thinking of trying to hook up with a mommy and me group from craigslist or starting my own. Theres also a play center not too far away that if we had the money I would take him too. Just sucks like the 1st year and half of his life he was always out and about and around people and just lately mainly cause of the winter we havent been able to. Feel like im stunting my child or something.
Think were gonna start trying to encourage the potty training soon. Need to get him his own lil potty cause hes showing alot of interest in it. So rather get a headstart on it then be trying to do it when hes starting school lol.
He is doing good with his "tank cu mama" when I hand him something. "Pwease" when he wants something. "ByeBye mwahmwah" when i go outside. "meowmeow" when ever the cat runs past him.
It was so funny the other day it was bed time so i was getting his jammies on and had him down to diaper when he suddenly shoved his hips towards me and said " baff mama pwease" I wasnt paying attention so said what and he did it agian and realized he thought he was getting nakid to get in the bath it was just one of those times you stop and go wow he was correlating getting undressed with bathtime. Its those simple things that make you stop and appreciate the little times. All the times i feel im not doing a good enough job or not appreciated enough. Makes me just stop and smile a bit.
We've been doing pretty well on the sleeping side of things. One fluke night out of the past week that he DIDNT sleep all night. And most naps have been about 2 hours long. Dont know if he's just going through a growth spurt or if we have passed that horrible stage but i will take it.
Speaking of him the loud ass upstairs neighbors are at it agian so hes up. ahhhh such is the life of mommy
